A Lucky Man from Waterford Wins the $2 Million Michigan Lottery Jackpot on The Big Spin

In the Big Spin lottery game – a resident from Oakland County, Michigan – won $2 million. Walt Belcher, age 71, was one of five randomly picked to spin the prize wheel. Belcher won the $2 million top prize in a tournament that was broadcast on television and was organized by the famous Detroit Piston John Salley.

For Belcher, The Big Spin Meant a Big Win

When Belcher of Waterford turned in his rejected tickets from the instant scratch-off game The Big Spin, he was allowed to spin the prize wheel.

Players can enter a drawing at MIBigSpin.com to spin the prize wheel on television by using the "Spin Code" from the lost $10 game tickets.

At this time, Belcher was among the five chosen to spin the wheel for prizes worth between $100,000 and $2 million.

In a news release, Belcher remarked, "I still find it difficult to grasp that The Big Spin picked me. I submitted many tickets, but I never imagined I would be chosen.”

Belcher chose to accept a $1.3 million lump sum payment rather than 30 monthly payments after winning the top reward on a spin. "When the $2 million reward struck the landing, I was astonished. I'm feeling fortunate, and everything turned out well. He stated: "I haven't decided what I'll do with the money since I haven't yet realized that I won. For the time being, I can only say that inputting your lost tickets pays off.”

The Michigan Lottery Big Spin Game Has Two More Draws Left

The Michigan Lottery will hold four drawings for five contestants on the television program The Big Spin. It means a reward of at least $100,000 will be awarded after each turn of the wheel.

After every drawing, the entry pool is refilled. To be eligible for The Big Spin, you must submit a brand-new contribution.

After the initial drawing on September 28, there will be two more. Both will occur on March 1, the first on December 28 and the second on.

The televised Big Spin events will begin following the evening Lottery drawings.

Players can submit non-winning The Big Spin ticket Spin Codes on www.MIBigSpin.com. By inputting codes, players may enter contests for a chance to appear on television and spin the enormous wheel.

Big Spin Ticket Still Boasts Huge Prizes

By purchasing a $10 Big Spin ticket, players may instantly win prizes ranging from $10 to $1 million.

Since its launch in September, the Big Spin instant game has given out more than $6 million to participants.

Prizes totaling more than $64 million are still up for grabs in the instant game. The 134 $1,000 prizes, four $10,000 prizes, and three $1 million grand prizes make up the remaining awards.

John Salley is the Host of the Big Spin Show for the Michigan Lottery

In addition to spinning the prize wheel, each of the 20 lucky winners will get the opportunity to speak with John Salley, the show's host.

Salley, a four-time NBA champion, won two championships with the Detroit Pistons.

“We wanted someone who would be well-known among players from all throughout the state and had a strong connection to Michigan when we initially launched Big Spin. We required a huge, authoritative figure because the game is titled The Big Spin. John Salley "definitely matches that mold," according to Jake Harris, the Michigan Lottery's manager of player relations.

The former Piston, 6 feet 11 inches tall, prompted the Michigan Lottery to raise the spinner so Salley could fit on the screen.

Salley will even chat with each spinner before and after their turn at the wheel.
